DAVID BAUMAN NAMED GENERAL COUNSEL FOR INDEPENDENT SPORTS & ENTERTAINMENT’S (ISE) SPORTS AGENCY DIVISION
Well-Respected, Industry Vet to Also Serve as Senior Vice President & Assistant General Counsel for ISE
NEW YORK, December 6, 2016 – Independent Sports & Entertainment (ISE), an integrated sports, media, entertainment and management company, announced David Bauman as general counsel for the company’s sports agency division, which includes more than 300 athletes in the NBA, NFL and MLB. He will also serve as senior vice president and assistant general counsel of the company. Bauman has 25 years of experience in the sports industry as an agent and attorney, most recently serving as senior vice president and general counsel for ISE Basketball.
In his new role, Bauman will oversee all aspects of ISE’s legal affairs for its sports agency business, including drafting and reviewing key business, marketing and endorsement agreements for ISE clients and handling litigation management. He will also provide legal support, advice and counsel for legal and business matters for the company. Bauman will maintain his role as an NBPA certified agent.
Throughout his career, Bauman has gained a wide variety of experience working with Lagardère, SFX Sports Group and his own boutique sports management agency, DB Hoops, Inc. Before joining ISE, Bauman was executive vice president and senior basketball agent at Lagardère. Bauman started his career at SFX Sports Group, where he spent more than 15 years rising through the ranks to become president and general counsel for the company’s basketball division. Bauman is a graduate of Emory University and earned his J.D. at the National Law Center of George Washington University.
